Seasonal advice and tips

Top tips for treating common ailments this autumn

Colds

At the first sign of a cold the remedy to go for is Aconite. If you have a really watery runny nose with lots of sneezing then you could try Natrum Mur. If your cold gets to a more advanced stage and there is lots of green/yellow mucous combined with feeling rather sorry for yourself then Pulsatilla is the remedy for you!

Gardening aches and pains

At this time of the year there are lots of gardening jobs to be done before the winter sets in. Often people get aches and pains when they overdo it. The first remedy to think of for any strains or injuries is Arnica - this can be used as a cream (on unbroken skin) and in tablet form.

Always seek medical advice in emergencies. Consult a professional homeopath if in doubt about remedy choice or if selected remedies have not been effective.
